CLASS DESCRIPTION
Fundamentals: Mat
and Reformer Classes—Introduction
to the six concepts of the Joseph Pilates Work through Mat and the
Universal Reformer. Learn to incorporate efficient breath and alignment
for better posture, pain-free movement and prepare the body for
maximum toning. Learn to use the Pilates equipment efficiently and
safely.
Basic Pilates: Mat, Reformer and
Cadillac—“The Method” designed
by Joseph Pilates is a series of specific movements performed in
a defined sequence. Strengthening the spine safely, these movements
challenge muscles for optimum length and tension to create a workout
like no other. Discover the “Magic in the Method”.
Intermediate Pilates: Mat, Reformer,
Cadillac and Chair—“Challenge
Pilates”. Beyond the basic sequences, additional movements
require greater range of motion, more stability and faster pace.
Discover powerful core strengthening and toning methods through
the use of the mat and the full range of equipment to bring your
body to a new level of efficiency. Integration of mind and body,
strength and flexibility.
Advanced Pilates—“Mastery
in Pilates”. Explore the full range of Pilates movement. Joseph
Pilates created an endless variety of exercises that move your workouts
to a new level of physical and mental challenge. Mastering the nuances
of these more difficult movements will keep enthusiasts challenged
for a lifetime. This class builds power, strength, muscular balance
and symmetry as well as self-knowledge.
Yoga—This
is an Asana practice combining traditional balance poses with fluid
motion to build strength ultimately reinforcing the mind-body connection.
Each practice opens and closes with a moment of meditation and breathing
exercises.
Body Rolling—Learn
the basic Body Rolling principles to release tight muscles, increase
range of motion in joints and strengthen core.
Martial Arts-Kickboxing—Learn
how to protect yourself, become fitter, stronger and more disciplined
mentally and physically. Join us for this fun and exciting blended
martial arts class taught by a Olympic class teacher trainer.
