TIME FRAME: 10 or 20 days

ADDRESS: 4 of the most common underlying causes of chronic health challenges

1. Toxic Overload

2. Harmful Bacteria

3. Heavy Metal Toxicity

4. Leaky Gut

Step Two of the Easy 3-Step Bio-Detoxification Program consists of a thorough detoxification program designed to enhance the bodyʼs ability to eliminate toxins and harmful bacteria from the body.

This phase lasts either 10 or 20 days depending on the toxicity level, and is immediately followed by Step Three, which is designed to regenerate and rebuild. It is very important to follow the principles of the diet as closely as possible.

UNDERSTANDING THE HEALING CRISIS–Please read this. Itʼs very important A healing crisis is any of the wide range of symptoms that may occur during the course of healing. Typically, the onset of these symptoms is very rapid. You may experience some symptoms immediately after a treatment, or up to 2 to 3 days later. The worst of the symptoms last as little as a few hours or as long as several days. The longer the symptoms last, the stronger the healing crisis. But it is also characterized that when the symptoms have passed, you will feel better than before the crisis.

Most patients do not understand the healing crisis because of their experience with conventional medicine. Where the focus of conventional medicine is on eliminating discomfort and curing disease, holistic medicine seeks to address the underlying cause of pain and illness. It aims to balance the bodyʼs energy flow so that the body can restore itself to a healthy state.

Disease is a long, gradual process that occurs over tie with stages of progressively ill health preceding it. It moves from less serious physical complaints to more serious ones, and then moves inward to deeper levels. Sometimes minor ailments are driven deeper into the body and because more serious with drug therapy, which suppresses the symptoms, but weakens the immune system. For example, you may first experience a skin problem, which seems to clear up. Later, the disease may progress inwardly to become asthma. Sometimes after that, you may even develop depression. Increasing a personʼs health reverses the disease process, almost like putting a video of your disease on rewind. You must move through previous states of health, and that is when old symptoms crop up. occuring in reverse order of their original appearance. The person with the skin problem may re-experience some depression, followed by some asthmatic episodes, and later on, the skin problem may reoccur.

The aching body, headaches, nausea and fatigue often felt during a healing crisis are primarily the effects of detoxification. In the healing process, the body is working to eliminate its storage of toxins; materials that have been collected in the colon, the tissues and in individual cells. In a sense, the body becomes temporarily more toxic . Once you understand that some discomfort is normal, and your symptoms can be positive sign that healing is taking place, there are a number of things you can do to help your body during a healing crisis. First, try to follow your prescribed grogram correctly.

NOTE: If your healing crisis is too intense or causing excessive discomfort, please consult your healthcare practitioner about the feasibility of altering your dosing schedule.

The first weekend can be very challenging to keep up a detox. Weekends offer many opportunities and temptations to think that one little “_____” wont hurt. Don’t give in. Think about how fabulous you will look and feel in a few short weeks. Live backwards in time. Think how fast last month went by… last season… last year. Now think ahead a few weeks and look back. Think about how great you look and feel in real time. Think about how you got here. What steps did you take? Take the time now to imagine how you look and feel. Be proud.

1. When you awake in the morning make sure you have a liter of water with a teaspoon of Pink Salt on your night stand so that you can drink it ALL in the first 10 minutes.

Step Two of the Easy 3-Step Bio-Detoxification Program consists of a thorough detoxification program designed to enhance the body’s ability to eliminate toxins and harmful bacteria from the body. It addresses 4 of the most common underlying causes of chronic health challenges; Toxic Overload, Harmful Bacteria, Heavy Metal Toxicity and Leaky Gut.

This phase last either 10 or 20 days depending on the toxicity level, and is immediately followed by Step Three, which is designed to regenerate and rebuild your body. It is important to follow the principles of the diet as closely as possible.

Bio-Detoxification is designed to reduce your body’s load of toxic substances, which may be present from either external sources (drugs, chemical, alcohol) or your own physiological activities (bacterial toxins, intestinal toxins, metabolic byproducts). By following this program, you will eliminate many food and metabolic toxins or allergens, and chieve more “healthy” function and vitality.

The purpose of this detox step is to:

Control the underlying cause of pain and inflammation

Remove the toxins

Repair the liver and digestive tract

Step Two requires the following:

Bio-Detox Packs: 30 packets of mixed supplements-Take one packet with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

NutriClear is a complete and nutritionally balanced therapeutic food. NutriClear is carefully formulated so that even the most sensitive individuals can depend on it effectively, for relief of toxicity symptoms. NutriClear supports the detoxification processes of your body and provides you with the essential nutrients necessary for effective metabolic cleansing-Use as meal replacement for breakfast and lunch. 2 scoops in 16 oz of pure water.

Whey Protein or Rice Protein-Mix 1 scoop with NutriClear drink (above) use as meal replacement for breakfast and lunch.

Dietary Reminders

Chew foods well (20-30 times per bite).

Eat foods in whole forms as much as possible. The best raw food is salad.

Eat only when you are hungry and calm. If you have a poor appetite, reduce sugars and starches and your appetite and digestion will improve.

Do not overeat, it overloads digestion. Smaller, more frequent meals are best.

East animal source foods in moderation.

Drink at least 6-10 tall glasses of pure water daily. Most overeating occurs as a result of dehydration.

Avoid hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats, preservatives or artificial colors and foods that cause reaction, like wheat and dairy

This part of the program requires only 10 days and comes with support material and online references to guide you through the detoxification. Please contact us at Fitness Arts for your support material FREE!

If you are on your way to completing the first week of this detox program, congratulations! You should be so proud of yourself as the first week in my opinion is the hardest to get through. You are well on your way to an amazing transformation this month. For those of you still thinking about starting this process, tomorrow would be great time to start!! Remember that it’s not where or when we start a journey. It’s where we finish.

Daily To Do List:

Weekdays: Monday – Friday

Start by drinking a liter of water with ½ tsp of Pink Salt when you awake first thing in the morning.

Drink 4 liters of water daily. I prepare these the night before

▪ 1st liter of water is mixed with 1 tsp of Pink Salt and on my nightstand so I can have easy access upon arising.

▪ 2nd liter is mixed with 2 tsp of Max Stress B to take with me to work so I can drink it throughout the day.

▪ 3rd liter is mixed with ½ tsp of Pink Salt also to take with me to work so I can drink it throughout the day.

▪ 4th liter is typically just pure water that I drink once I get home after work.

3. Dry skin brush for 5-10 minutes before you shower

4. Get plenty of sleep (minimum of 5 continuous hours between 11 pm & 5 am)

5. 20-30 minutes of aerobic exercise. I try to get a brisk walk in the morning. If I didn’t walk in the morning, I walk when I get home from work. I have a pair of walking shoes in my car just in case. My attitude and stress levels dramatically lower when I walk before walking into my house.

6. Breathe in some fresh air and take a few minutes to reflect on your day as well as your progress. Be proud of your accomplishments! Look forward to how great you will look and feel at the end of this detoxification process.

7. Chart your progress

■ Weigh yourself upon rising and at bedtime.

■ If you have HBP, take your BP daily around the same time.

■ Duration of exercise.

■ Sleep: you should be getting 5 hours of continuous sleep without interruption.

■ First morning urine pH (optional).

■ Diary of foods and drinks consumed each day.

Weekend: Saturdays and Sundays

Weekends can become tricky because we can be tempted away from the discipline of a detoxification. Let your family and friends know what you are doing and how important it is to you. If possible, eat all your meals at home. Have a couple of “go to” snacks pre-packaged for easy access such as washed and cut veggies, raw nuts and dried fruit mixes, and fresh fruits. When you awake in the morning, take a few minutes to plan your day in your mind about how you want to feel, how you want to relate to your family and friends, already being grateful for the day ahead of you and smiling at yourself for the time and energy you are dedicating to becoming healthy and fit.

Saturday

Repeat steps 1-7 on the weekday list.

Make sure you have the necessary ingredients for the Sunday Mini Liver/Gallbladder Flush. The shopping list and instructions are available on our website here.

Before going to bed, set out your ingredients (olive oil, tomato juice, blender, straw. Optional: garlic, tumeric, magnesium) and set the alarm clock.

Sunday Mini Liver/Gallbladder Flush and Coffee Enema day

Repeat steps 1-7 on the weekday list.

Arise early enough to do the flush. I typically get up before 6 am, go to my kitchen and blend the ingredients in the blender I set out the night before and drink with a straw. Then I go back to bed and sleep for a few hours. It’s important to note that if you eat or become too active, you will feel nauseous and/or ill. Few people develop detox symptoms. Check our website at www.fitnessarts.org for more information.

Around mid-morning, do a coffee enema. Instructions are here.

Take it easy today. Stay close to home as you may need to use the toilet.

Remember:

Eating lightly is important for a strong detox. How lightly you eat depends on what sort of activities you need to do while you’re detoxing. If you’ll be doing a normal work and lifestyle schedule, you’ll want to eat more than if you are able to take it easier for a bit.

Many of the foods we eat these days are processed, and therefore are difficult for the body to break down for use.

They also often don’t contain adequate nutrition, which adds to the toxicity load when the body’s systems don’t have the building blocks and fuel they need to function optimally.

While doing a detox, it’s best to cut out all processed foods (anything in a bag, box or can is out), which means that simpler foods, prepared simply, become the basis of your diet.

The most important foods to avoid are sugar, flour products/baked goods, and anything processed/packaged (i.e. anything you don’t cook yourself – unless it’s a super high quality restaurant that you know has super clean food).

It is not recommended to eat any meat, poultry, and dairy.

If you can’t cut out caffeine, cut the amount down as much as possible, and quit soda altogether. If you drink coffee, switch to tea.

Foods to avoid while detoxing:

■ White Table Salt

■ Alcohol

■ Tea/Coffee

■ Soft drinks

■ Baked goods (anything with flour: cookies, cake, crackers, bread, etc.)

■ Sugar (all sweets, i.e. HFCS, maltose, sucrose, fructose, maltodextrin, etc.)

■ Artificial sweeteners

■ Chocolate

■ Chips (or any such snack food)

■ Dairy: Milk, cream, processed cheeses, butter/margarine

■ Meats

■ Any foods made with processed/heated oils

Foods to avoid:

All gluten-containing foods including wheat, rye, oats and barley, which are commonly found in breads, pasta and other products from refined flour.

The most common allergies are caused by this group of foods. By avoiding these foods for a few weeks, your system gets a chance to relax and clear itself out. You may not even know that you have an allergy to these foods because the symptoms may be so subtle.

Alcohol, caffeine (coffee, black teas and sodas) and soy milk, soda and fruit drinks that are high in refined sugars.

Both alcohol and caffeine are hard on the liver and very dehydrating. For every ounce of caffeinated beverage you consume, you have to drink 6 ounces of water to combat the dehydrating effects.

Pork, cold cuts, bacon, hot dogs, canned meat, sausage and shellfish.

Meats, unless organic, are typically high in nasty ingredients such as estrogens, antibiotics and others typical of processed foods.

Tomato sauce (whole fresh tomatoes are OK)

Tomato sauce may contain common allergens that can contribute to pain and inflammation.

All Dairy (milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, etc)

Dairy products are most likely to cause allergies and can increase pain. Stay away from creamy salad dressings (ranch, creamy garlic, etc.) as they contain dairy.

Foods high in fats and oil, including peanuts, refined oils, margarine and shortening.

This diet was designed to lessen the burden placed on your system by eliminating many foods, including those high in fats and refined and processed oils. All oils should be consumed raw and unheated. Any oil heated above 200 degrees will turn into trans-fatty acids!

All refined sugar products (candy bars and other junk food).

Refined sugar slows the process of detoxification and weaken the immune system.

Any other foods not listed on the APPROVED FOOD LIST FOR STEP ONE. Click here to download the list.

Join me tomorrow to prepare for Step Two: Metabolic Cleaning which addresses 4 of the most common underlying causes of chronic health challenges:

Heavy Metal Toxicity

Leaky Gut

Diet is just one component of any well-designed detoxification. In addition with an eating plan, there are other important steps. Incorporating these simple steps to your daily routine will pay off for your whole life. Start today!

1. You Need To Drink More Water

Drink water! Water is essential to your body. Not only does it help regulate body temperature, but also it assists in nutrient absorption, cushions organs and joints, helps remove waste from your body and moistens oxygen for better breathing. Water carries such important responsibilities; you may wonder how much of it the human body needs daily.

You lose water through urination, respiration, and by sweating, and you lose more water when you’re active than when you’re sedentary. Diuretics, such as caffeine pills, certain medications and alcohol may increase the amount of water your body loses. Lost fluids must be replaced by the fluids in the foods you eat and the beverages you drink.

How much water do you need to drink?

At least twenty percent of the water you need comes from the foods you eat. The rest comes from the beverages you drink. Some experts believe you can estimate the amount of water you need by taking your weight in pounds and dividing that number in half. That gives you the number of ounces you may want to drink each day. Other factors include amount of physical activity and the climate where you are located. You need 2 liters of water just to breathe! Water is the number one nutrient. It is absolutely necessary to complete a detoxification successfully. Don’t skimp on water.

2. BOOST YOUR METABOLISM BY GETTING MORE SLEEP

Want to increase your metabolism and burn more calories? Go to bed and sleep. People have significantly slower metabolisms the morning after a sleepless night. 20% less! Further, if you don’t sleep, you will be more hungry. Poor sleep = bigger appetite. You are also likely to have high blood sugar levels and hunger stimulating hormones. Studies show that sleeping 6-8 hours boosts your metabolism!

3. EXERCISE! Enhance Circulation

A lack of physical activity can result in poor circulation of blood and lymph fluid, which can have a negative effect on health and impair detoxification and immune function. The best way to get blood flowing is to exercise. Make a commitment to exercise daily. a 20-30 minutes is all you need. Move continuously for 20-30 minutes to circulated your lymph fluids and heart health. You can also enhance circulation by dry skin brushing. Incorporate it to your daily showers!

What is a Dry Brush Exfoliation?

A dry brush exfoliation involves the use of a soft, dry brush to gently brush the skin. It is essential to remove dead skin cells, improve the circulation of blood and lymph, and enhance detoxification through skin. The gentle pressure is also thought to have a calming effect.

How is Dry Brush Exfoliation Done?

The only tool needed is a soft, dry, skin brush, preferably with natural bristles.

Step 1

Stand in the shower with the water off.

Step 2

Starting at your feet, start brushing in small circles towards your heart. Apply very light pressure, avoiding broken skin, skin rashes, or areas where the skin is thin, such as the face or inner thighs.

Step 3

After you’ve finished both legs, move on to your arms. Brush from your fingertips, again towards your heart.

Step 4

Reach around and brush from your back towards your stomach.

Step 5

When you are finished, begin showering.

4. Promote Elimination

When toxins that are stored in our cells are mobilized, they travel to our blood and must be eliminated from the body through feces, urine, or sweat or they can be reabsorbed and recirculated in our systems. Sometimes our organs of elimination are sluggish because we don’t move (and therefore don’t sweat), are constipation, or don’t drink enough water. Contact us at Fitness Arts to find ways to increase elimination safely and effectively.

5. Improve Digestion

Promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestines, so that it can keep potentially harmful bacteria in check, otherwise “bad” bacteria can produce toxins that damage the intestinal lining, are absorbed into the bloodstream, and injure cell membranes in the body. The detox diet can often provide the nutrients needed to promote the growth of beneficial bacteria. Probiotics can and should be supplemented. Please call today to get the best probiotics on the market!

Most detox diets call for the removal of foods people are often sensitive to, such as wheat and gluten. A properly chosen diet supports the liver by providing it with protein, antioxidants, vitamin, and other nutrients so that it can detoxify efficiently. Supplements you need for a successful detoxification is available at Fitness Arts.

4. Mind/Body Wellness

Stress can impair the body’s detoxification systems and lead to digestive ailments, impaired immunity, and have wide-ranging effects on health. A detox diet is a time not just to let the body heal, but to allow the mind to rest.

Join me tomorrow as we prepare for Step Two of the Easy 3 Step Bio-Detoxification.

Supplement: Biotics Research

Intenzyme Forte: Intenzyme Forte by Biotics Research is a broad spectrum proteolytic enzyme supplement that supports the numerous protein metabolism pathways. Proteolytic enzymes are capable of exerting influence over a variety of physiological and biochemical processes.

The benefits of Intenzyme Forte include its effect on muscle soreness and discomfort due to overexertion, the support of hormone processing, as well as providing support for healthy digestive, immune and circulatory function.

Intenzyme Forte contains proteolytic enzymes known to break-down proteins into amino acids. Therefore, proteolytic enzymes can be used to support the bodys digestion of protein-containing foods.

Proteolytic enzymes have also been shown to facilitate tissue healing after injury, presumably by breaking-down products of inflammation.

Recommended Use:
One tablet three times each day, away from food. Take at least one half hour before food and no less than 2 hours afterwards. DO NOT CHEW THIS PRODUCT.

Bio-Alley: Supports normal neurologic function and inflammatory balance. It is a natural analgesic that supports reducing inflammation and is designed primarily to reduce pain. It acts like a holistic aspirin.

Support for reducing inflammation and pain

Natural alternative to aspirin

Bio-Allay contains a blend of standardized extracts, providing a natural means to support the down-regulation of pro-inflammatory compounds. Bio-Allay may support reducing the frequency of asthma attacks and improve breathing capacity.

Recommended Use:
Adults: Two (2) capsules taken two (2) times each day as a dietary supplement

Beta TCP: Beta TCP by Biotics Research provides nutritional support for healthy bile flow and fat digestion. Bile is important, not only for proper digestion and fat emulsification, but also for the necessary elimination of toxins from the body.

Support for normal cholesterol to bile acid conversion and healthy bile flow*

Contains digestive and antioxidant enzymes, vitamin C, taurine and organic beet concentrate.

Beets have a long historical use in naturopathic medicine for supporting liver function, predominately due to the antioxidant benefits due to the high content of anthocyans and anthocyanidins.

Recommended Use:
Adults: Two (1) tablet with each meal as a dietary supplement

Bromelain Plus CLA: Bromelain is an enzyme that aids in the digestion of protein. It provides Bromelain and Papain, along with inositol and amino acid L-

Cysteine. Bromelain provides proteolytic (decomposition of protein) activity. It also helps to relieve muscle pain due to overexertion by supporting the natural anti-inflammatory response in the body. Further, Bromelain Plus CLA includes additional enzyme support (cellulase, lipase, amylase and ficin) as well as effective support against parasites.

Bromelain Plus CLA is a product containing digestive and anti-inflammatory enzymes, plus cellulase.

Recommended Use: Adults: One (1) tablet three (3) times each day as a dietary supplement. Warning: Do not use if you have ulcers or suspected ulcers. DO NOT CHEW THIS PRODUCT. Allergic reactions may occur.

ARE BODY TOXINS MAKING YOU SICK?

Optimum energy and radiant health results from internal cleansing. Each of us understands how important it is to be clean on the outside, but do not realize it’s even more important to be clean on the inside.

There is no doubt about it, we do not live in a pristine world. We live in an environment unlike any in history. In today’s world of processed foods and environmental pollution, toxic substances exist almost everywhere.

Common Signs and Symptoms of Toxin Buildup

Headaches – Immune Weakness – Chronic Backache – Joint Pain – Mood Changes – Blood Sugar Problems – Fatigue – Constipation – Skin Conditions – Allergies – Sinus Congestion – Hormonal Problems

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), over 35% of the food tested in 1998 contained pesticides. Fifty-three pesticides classified as “carcinogens” are presently registered for use on major crops, including apples, tomatoes, and potatoes. Additionally more than 10,000 additives are added to our food supply. In fact, an average American eats about 142 pounds of additives a year.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), more than 1,000,000 Americans drink water laced with pesticides. In 2000 alone, more than 4 billion pounds of chemicals were released into the ground, and over 260 million pounds of chemicals were discharged into surface waters, i.e. lakes and rivers, making fish unsafe to eat and water unsafe to swim in or to drink.

It not too late to start today or tomorrow… This first step is 7 days long no matter when you start. Let this be the first step in finding your perfect health this year!

Today starts my fall detox. I will be following the Easy 3 Step Bio-Detoxification which is a program designed to address the most common underlying causes of chronic health challenges which include inability to manage weight, fatigue, poor sleeping patterns, weakened immune system, allergies, brain fog to name a few.

I am happy to announce that this brand new detox is much easier than previous years. If you do not yet have the booklet that provides all of the instructions you need to have a successful detoxification, please contact our office at Fitness Arts 847-397-2787. This program has various supplements to enhance your detoxification however, you can still benefit from just the life style changes that effect detoxification without supplements.

In order to have a successful detoxification, you must do the following:

Drink four (4) liters of water everyday. Start each day by drinking a liter of water with 1/2 tsp of pink salt upon arising. Then add 1/4 tsp of pink salt in each of the three liters.

Exercise 20-30 minutes every day. A simple brisk walk is all you need.

Get a good nights sleep each night. Try to go to bed by 10 pm. Turn off your electronics and go to bed. If you are having a difficult time falling asleep, try some melatonin or Neuro 5 HTP.

Nourish yourself. Nourishment is more than food. Your sense organs provide input to your body. For everything you see, smell, hear, taste or touch, there is a corresponding messenger that is released in your body.

Avoid all processed foods that are packaged in bags, boxes or cans. There is a “Approved Food List for Step One” in the booklet. Follow it closely. If you do not have this list, you can contact Fitness Arts. Do not make food substitutions.

This first step lasts 7 days or more and is immediately followed by Step Two, which is the detoxification period. It is very important to follow the principles of the diet as closely as possible.

Thank you for joining me on this fall detox. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
