Pilates Fundamentals (Beginner Pilates)
This beginner level course provides an overview of the six principles of
Joseph Pilates' method and introduces students to both mat work and the Universal Reformer.
Students will learn how to use Pilates equipment safely and be able to leverage breathing
and movement techniques to support better posture, maximum toning and pain-free movement.
Basic Pilates
Students get in-depth training on the "Pilates method" by performing a series of
precise movements designed by Joseph Pilates in an optimal sequence. Pilates movements will
deliver a great workout while elongating muscles and strengthening the spine. Equipment used
includes the Reformer, Cadillac, and mats.
Intermediate Pilates
Students are challenged to move beyond the basic Pilates sequences by performing
additional movements that require a greater range of flexibility, stability and a faster pace.
Our focus is on teaching powerful core strengthening and toning techniques that can noticeably
improve both the body and posture.
Advanced Pilates
Expert Pilates students explore the full range of movements and experience new level
of physical and mental challenge. Mastering the nuances of these more difficult movements will
keep enthusiasts challenged for a lifetime. This class builds power, strength, muscular balance,
and symmetry as well as self-knowledge.
