greenteaLemon water: Lemons are a great source of vitamin C, which is known to help the body detox and burn fat. Dr. Frank Lipman recommends drinking water with lemon every morning as a way to alkalize the body and help with digestion, so try drinking water and lemon when you first wake up.

Green tea: Green tea is high in antioxidants, which can fight disease while also helping your liver.  Add 1 tsp of Green Tea ND to 8-16oz of purified water and sip slowly each day.

Green juice: If you have a juicer, you should be making this green juice recipe, which includes ingredients with naturally detoxing properties, like watercress, spinach, lemon, and ginger.  Make one every day for a quick, nutritious way to get all your daily greens.

Watercress helps cleanse the liver, and, like celery, it’s a natural diuretic.  Spinach boosts chlorophyll levels in the digestive tract, which helps the body get rid of environmental toxins. Lemon is a great source of vitamin C and helps alkalize the body. Spicy ginger aids digestion. Apples add just enough natural sugar to mask the earthy taste of the greens. Green Juice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 bunch spinach
  • 1 handful watercress
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 or 2 apples
  • 1-inch slice of ginger
  • Add 1 tsp NitroGreens

Directions

Use a juicer for optimal results. If you don’t have one, turn the recipe into a smoothie by using a blender instead.

To make juice: In a fruit and vegetable juicer, juice all ingredients into a tall glass. Add one teaspoon of Nitro Greens.  Mix and Serve immediately.

To make smoothie: Prior to blending, chop apple and discard the core; peel and chop ginger; chop celery stalk; zest and juice lemon, throwing out remaining rind. Combine all ingredients, and blend on high until smooth.  Add 1 teaspoon of Nitro Greens and mix.  You can also add water or ice to help thin out the smoothie.

Heavy Metal Detox Juice

Heavy metals, like mercury and lead, can accumulate in your system and cause all kinds of problems. You get them from the air you breathe, the water you drink, and the food you eat. You can’t avoid them. The problem is that they build up in your system and your body can have a hard time getting rid of them.  Heavy metals have been implicated in hormonal imbalances, thyroid problems, neurological disturbances, learning problems, depression and food allergies.

Cilantro –  it’s also called Chinese Parsley, and, when dried, coriander – is a powerful natural chelator. Studies have shown that if you consistently eat small amounts of cilantro, you can reduce the heavy metal load in your system.  Chlorella – a single-cell algae, rich in naturally occurring phyto-nutrients including chlorophyll and carotenoids, and is a source of vitamin D. Chlorella supports the elimination of toxins, offers support for the mucosal lining of the GI tract, and provides immunomodulatory properties as well.

One of my ways is to add cilantro and chlorella to my diet is this Heavy Metal Detox Juice.
